I hate socialism. It’s like being friends with your ex: it’s a thoughtful theory, but in practice it just makes you want to kill yourself. Well, maybe not, but I know that if I was giving my hard earned money to the government so they could hand it out to welfare mothers who refuse to work then I’d want to break some legs. I might even lose my incentive to work hard…Either way, if both liberals and “compassionate conservatives” don’t carefully screen the candidates they vote for, Thomas’ prophecy will come true.
